Michael D. Quinn, Principal 

 

 

Michael D. Quinn is a founding Principal in WorkPlace Cornerstone, a consulting practice that engages the cross-cutting components (human performance, safety culture, and PI&R - problem identification and resolution/ corrective action programs) of the cornerstones to facilitate organizational and nuclear program turnarounds, remediate corrective action programs, and lead high consequence event root cause teams.

He has over 40 years in the nuclear industry,  including 25 years in the power block.  Over the past 20 years Michael has provided organizational and program recovery project management, corrective action program, root cause evaluation, leadership development/ coaching, assessment, and related consulting services to several industry sectors, including: the commercial nuclear power industry in the U.S. and Canada; U.S. Government  (e.g., U.S. NRC, U.S. DOE); and other Organizations requiring high reliability performance.

Facilitating Organizational and Program Turnarounds in high hazard industry, remediating corrective action programs, and leading high consequence event root cause teams.

Engaging  organizational assessments (e.g., conduct of operations, organizational performance and effectiveness), nuclear safety culture (and SCWE) assessments and remediation, Employee Concerns Program support, project management, event and organizational response evaluations, organizational change and transition, human performance, socialization, leadership development, team building dynamics, and individual, group and organizational interventions.

Michael holds a Doctorate of Science in Organizational Management Systems, a Masters in Business Administration with a focus in organizational behavior, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry.
